Upstater Magazine Feature

We’re all about the weekends here at Upstater, because there’s no better place to spend them than in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Part-time Hudson Valley resident and artist Laura Loving feels the same way, which is why her solo show at the Greene County Council on the Arts in Catskill is appropriately called “Escape from New York: Weekends in the Hudson Valley.” Loving, who has lived in NYC for 16 years and became a part-time Hudson resident in 2014, features works based on her favorite landmarks in the Hudson Valley as seen through the “rose-tinted view of a weekender,” according to website.

Loving’s show opens Saturday, June 11 and runs through July 23, 2016 in the GCCA upstairs gallery located at 398 Main Street, Catskill. “Escape from New York” runs concurrently with GCCA’s group show Faces and Facades. Both Loving and the group artists will be at the opening reception Saturday, June 11th, 5-7pm. For more information on this and future exhibits, visit www.greenearts.org.
