“Lady Liberty is my most popular image,” shares artist Laura Loving. “I’ve shipped her to nearly every state in the U.S. and to countries around the world. This leading lady was the first painting I created after moving to New York in the summer of 2000, where I had always dreamed of living. It’s a victory painting, a symbol of triumph. Sometimes, I see it as a self-portrait. There’s an undeniable optimism and magic in this piece that even I find difficult to explain.”
