Headed into the pinnacle summer weekend with wobbly legs and uneasy feels about the nation. I don’t have a profound solution for a way forward other than protest and vote. However, I do have a fabulous recipe for my mother’s famous Patriotic Peach Ice cream so you can eat your feelings.

Two secrets for a successful batch is make the mixture the night before and refrigerate overnight. Also, when in doubt…. more ice cream salt and ice. Peaches aren’t in season where you live? You can substitute any fruit.
