The weekend was spectacular! I was thrilled to see so many kindred spirits stopping by Glue Gallery, University Place’s community art space that dares to dream big. As the spring sun brightened our little corner of the city, we welcomed visitors from many corners of the world including: Mexico, Canada, Myanmar, California, Israel, Brazil, Pennsylvania, as well as our beloved neighbors and friends. It was a joy to chat with over 100 art enthusiasts and collectors, sharing stories as we celebrated the very best of local talent. Thanks to everyone who made an appearance.
We’re proud to showcase the work of the inimitable Phoebe New York, James Hsieh’s eye tickling black and white murals, Laura Loving’s (me) vibrant interpretations of New York City, Carlos Pinto’s meticulously collaged metro card masterpieces, and Marco Vacchi’s lyrical paintings and photography.
If you missed us this weekend, fear not! Glue Gallery will be open weekends 12pm – 5pm and we’d be delighted to have you visit us in person. We are located at 64 University Place in Greenwich Village. We can’t wait to meet you and share our passion for art and community! Follow us on Instagram @Gluegallerynyc for a steady stream of artistic insights, behind-the-scenes peeks, and updates from our ever-changing exhibits.
